*claps hands in gleeful anticipation*
Well this is going to be a challenge indeed.
I'm sure you'll rise to it!
Is it psychologically significant, that i worry about writing a rape story, but don’t want to be offensive?
On the one hand, it is good to avoid being outright offensive, just as you would if you were writing a story about Black people. On the other hand, part of me wants to take off the handbrake and see how far you can go. But I'm not the only trans or GNC person on this forum, just the most visible one, and it would be good to have some guidelines to help people who are inexperienced at writing trans/genderbending characters. You can edit these into the top of the thread.
Avoid the use of these words, as they are slurs:
Tranny
Troon
Trap (when describing trans people)
Shim (I actually got called this by a former neighbour)
She-he
Futa (from
futanari, the Japanese word from hermaphroditism, often refers to 'chicks with dicks' porn)
Note: One of the biggest complaints trans people have about trans porn is the fact that it exclusively features and fetishizes pre-op or non-op trans women and focuses on their penises, almost to the exclusion of all other bodily features. This can trigger 'bottom dysphoria' in trans viewers.
Hope this helps!
