Punpun - it's not the server, it's the account security check. They don't care what server I log on. When you use a credit card to pay they obviously do a security check. Their security check flags various suspect to ensure people are not being defrauded by stolen credit cards. Included in that check, according to Blizzard, are that the address on the card is in the same country as the bank that issued the card. Now, in order to keep using it, I had to let my NY bank (actually an FCU) know that I was moving to England, had to update my details with them. Now, my account SHOWS MY ADDRESS AS ENGLAND but the card IS STILL ISSUED BY A US BANK. Their credit check company looks at this and says wait... why would someone in England have a US bank account instead of an English one. It decides this is fishy and refuses to process the transaction. It does this at the point you register an account, not when you select which servers you are going to run on. In a couple of years time or less it won't be a problem at all as I'll have a UK credit card from my bank here. However, since I haven't been here 3 years yet banks won't issue a UK credit card, only the atm card with what is called "maestro." Almost all uk websites allow this to be used, however sites outside the uk (or maybe outside the EU, I dunno) don't have an option for maestro.
